PillScanner is a visual comparison tool and a structured library of published drug-checking records. It does not operate a laboratory, test submitted substances, or independently certify the results displayed. A visual match is never proof of chemical composition, purity, strength, or safety.
1. Where the records come from
PillScanner compiles publicly accessible result pages and warning publications from named drug-checking services. The current pill library includes records attributed to the following publishers:
Publisher attribution appears on every record. When the publisher supplies a stable result URL, the record links directly to it. That original page is the authoritative citation for the reported result and should be checked for context or later corrections.
Who publishes this site
PillScanner is responsible for this site’s curation, presentation, and corrections. The named source publishers are responsible for their original records. This site does not claim independent laboratory or medical review. Contact [email protected] about the published content.
2. What PillScanner changes
The ingestion process standardizes formatting, parses source-reported substance and amount fields, associates source photographs, and consolidates reports with equivalent pill names into a single profile. Names may be translated, spelling variants may be merged, and front/rear photographs may be grouped under one source record. Profiles list the publisher and source-reported date when those fields are available.
Large profiles display up to 100 individual records to keep the page usable. Counts, source names, date ranges, and other profile-level summaries are calculated across the full consolidated record set, not only the displayed subset.
3. How visual matching works
The scanner uses computer vision to compare features in an uploaded photograph with photographs attached to the library’s records. It returns visually similar records. It does not inspect a sample’s chemistry and cannot determine identity, ingredients, contaminants, purity, or dose. Color, shape, logo, and composition can all vary between batches.
4. Publishing and indexing rules
A searchable pill profile is generated only when the record set has a recognizable pill identity, a known source-reported result, and falls within the library’s ecstasy-pill scope. Generic names, unidentified results, and off-topic records remain available to the scanner when relevant but do not receive indexable profile pages.
Equivalent name and color variants are consolidated. Retired duplicate URLs are removed from the sitemap and point to the surviving profile; filter and search queries use the main A–Z page instead of generating indexable result pages. A single-source profile is not automatically excluded when it preserves a distinct, cited lab record.
5. Corrections, removals, and review
Automated checks validate source attribution, image-side consistency, duplicate URL handling, and sitemap inclusion before generated pages are published. These checks do not amount to medical or independent laboratory review.

6. Commercial disclosure
Some pages contain sponsored links to reagent-test retailers, and PillScanner may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Sponsored links are marked in the page markup. They do not determine which lab records are included or how records are ordered. PillScanner is not affiliated with the testing publishers listed above unless explicitly stated.
Safety limits
Similar-looking pills can contain different substances, and no pill photograph can show contamination or dose. Use a professional drug-checking service where available. Reagent tests can indicate the presence of some substances but do not establish purity, strength, or everything present.
